Cranford History

Historians Hall of Fame

This page is dedicated to the many important Cranford Historians – our Heroes and Heroines of History!

While Streisand and Redford immortalized “The Way We Were” in the 1970’s,  Arthur and Hazel Burditt, immortalized Cranford’s History in their news column “As We Were”. In addition to this important work, they created the Burditt Index and the Rotary Club Biographies and  were frequently awarded with recognition for this diligent and important work in capturing Cranford historical facts. Read more about Arthur and Hazel’s accomplishments.

Their work is part of the legacy of many historians who worked  and continue to work to preserve the history of the town.

It should be “et al.” not “et. al”; the unabbreviated phrase is “et alia.”

Here is a well-written and very informative obituary for Homer J. Hall, whom you first list above: http://www.asis.org/Homer_J_Hall.html
